FAQ 2024 Education 

Licensees with active licenses need a minimum of 12 hours of approved continuing education hours each renewal period. This must include three hours on the mandatory topic, plus another 9 hours on elective topics totaling 12 hours. Licensees Mandatory topic: Contract Law with a focus on purchase/purchase agreements.

Brokers & Brokers Associates must complete the 3 mandatory hours of Broker Responsibility with a focus on earnest money, NDREC required office policies, and advertising, plus another 9 hours on elective topics for a total of 12 hours. 

Please see the ND Real Estate Commission website at North Dakota Real Estate Commission – Education (realestatend.org) for information on continuing education if you plan to activate an inactive license or were first-time licensed within the past 12 months, and for a list of all approved continuing education courses.

Note: CE hours must be taken between November 16, 2023 and November 15, 2024 to renew your license as active for 2025.
